\nSaturday, March 14, 2026, at Turnbow Park in Downtown Springdale: the Leprechauns are returning to Springdale and bringing their floating friends and plenty of shenanigans with them! Join us for a day of fun for all ages in Downtown Springdale with music, games, giveaways, and the Leprechaun Race in Spring Creek!

The fun starts at 12:00 noon with an Irish Dance Demonstration by Rince Arkansas Academy of Irish Dance. Spring Creek running through Downtown Springdale will turn a lovely shade of green*<\/span> to herald the return of our lucky friends to Shiloh Square and Turnbow Park. A free scavenger hunt, sidewalk art contest, pet costume contest, face painting, music, and games all lead up to the feature event when over 2,000 leprechauns dive into Spring Creek - sponsor a leprechaun for $10 each for a chance to win the leprechauns' pot o' gold!<\/div>\n\n

\nSpringdale Rotary Club will give away FREE books to children on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Jones Center in Springdale from 2:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. Children can choose from hundreds of used books in very good condition. Books include picture books, story books, and chapter books appropriate for children up to about 12 years old.

\nSanta Claus will also be there to visit with children and for pictures with Santa!

Wheelchair Project<\/h1>

Since 2003, the Rotary Club of Springdale and Rotary District 6110 have been involved in purchasing and delivering wheelchairs around the world to those that need a wheelchair and cannot get one.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Since we started this project, we have been able to purchase over 10,000 wheelchairs to provide mobility to those in need.
\n  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nThere are a lot of things that we take for granted, such as pre-natal care, and technological advancements, that are not as common elsewhere in the world.  The results are birth defects, and disabilities among children and adults.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Each year club members, at their own expense, help deliver the chairs to people in a different city. We have been able to have distribution trips to over 20 locations in Mexico and Central America to personally see the miracle of mobility in action.  We have also been able to provide wheelchairs to those in need here in Springdale and Northwest Arkansas.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n
\nEach chair costs $150.00, and Springdale Rotarians conduct an annual campaign to help raise money for this project. Each wheelchair affects the lives of more than 10 people who support the mobility-challenged individual; over 100,000 people have benefitted from this gift of mobility.
\n
\nWe are currently in the process of planning a trip to Mexico City in the spring of 2025. A gift of $150.00<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> can change a life and the lives of those around the recipient.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>If you are interested in joining us in bringing the gift of mobility to those in need, contact us here<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>

The Pig Trail Mud Run is the signature fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Springdale.  The club's 12th annual 5K muddy obstacle race will be June 7, 2025 at Ecclesia College in Springdale.  With 15 to 20 challenging obstacles, this event is a MUDDY BLAST! New Food Pantries in Springdale<\/h1>

The Rotary Club of Springdale announced its latest project to improve the lives of people in Springdale: three Little Free Pantries stocked with nonperishable food items. The Three Little Free Pantries are installed at Springdale's Senior Center, the Youth Center, and adjacent to the Rotary Adventure Park on 48th Street.
\n
\nFrom President Greg Collier: \"This Project wouldn\u2019t have happened without the help of Springdale Rotarians, and I\u2019d like to take a moment to recognize some of them. Again, these are ALL Springdale Rotarians! Steve Miller was instrumental in helping get the project off the ground! He provided materials for the pantries and purchased the first pantry himself. Heather Lind and Cram-A-Lot assembled and delivered the Pantries. Ron Amos with Minuteman Press donated and installed the signage. Jeri Hill provided the Rotary plates. Steve Langton with Ace Handyman, permanently installed the structures. Mayor Sprouse and Patsy Christie gave their blessing from the City to do this project. And then finally, our membership gave of their money in the form of dues to purchase and stock the pantries.
\n
\n\"Our hope at Springdale Rotary is that those in our community needing assistance will use these pantries, and those in our community that are able to, will help stock them. This has been a blessing to our Club, and we look forward to continuing to serve our city, state, and beyond.\"<\/p>\n\n

Those in need are invited to take what they need. We invite the community to join us in supporting the health and nutrition of our community by contributing what they can to the pantries. All items should be nonperishable and packaged in non-glass durable packaging.<\/p>\n<\/p>

\nSpringdale Rotary Club will give away FREE books to children on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Jones Center in Springdale from 2:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. Children can choose from hundreds of used books in very good condition. Books include picture books, story books, and chapter books appropriate for children up to about 12 years old.

\nSanta Claus will also be there to visit with children and for pictures with Santa!

\nThere is no charge for this event.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Wheelchair Project<\/h1>

Since 2003, the Rotary Club of Springdale and Rotary District 6110 have been involved in purchasing and delivering wheelchairs around the world to those that need a wheelchair and cannot get one.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Since we started this project, we have been able to purchase over 10,000 wheelchairs to provide mobility to those in need.
\n  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nThere are a lot of things that we take for granted, such as pre-natal care, and technological advancements, that are not as common elsewhere in the world.  The results are birth defects, and disabilities among children and adults.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Each year club members, at their own expense, help deliver the chairs to people in a different city. We have been able to have distribution trips to over 20 locations in Mexico and Central America to personally see the miracle of mobility in action.  We have also been able to provide wheelchairs to those in need here in Springdale and Northwest Arkansas.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n
\nEach chair costs $150.00, and Springdale Rotarians conduct an annual campaign to help raise money for this project. Each wheelchair affects the lives of more than 10 people who support the mobility-challenged individual; over 100,000 people have benefitted from this gift of mobility.
\n
\nWe are currently in the process of planning a trip to Mexico City in the spring of 2025. Pig Trail Mud Run<\/h1>

The Pig Trail Mud Run is the signature fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Springdale.  The club's 12th annual 5K muddy obstacle race will be June 7, 2025 at Ecclesia College in Springdale.  With 15 to 20 challenging obstacles, this event is a MUDDY BLAST! New Food Pantries in Springdale<\/h1>

The Rotary Club of Springdale announced its latest project to improve the lives of people in Springdale: three Little Free Pantries stocked with nonperishable food items. The Three Little Free Pantries are installed at Springdale's Senior Center, the Youth Center, and adjacent to the Rotary Adventure Park on 48th Street.
\n
\nFrom President Greg Collier: \"This Project wouldn\u2019t have happened without the help of Springdale Rotarians, and I\u2019d like to take a moment to recognize some of them. Again, these are ALL Springdale Rotarians! Steve Miller was instrumental in helping get the project off the ground! He provided materials for the pantries and purchased the first pantry himself. Heather Lind and Cram-A-Lot assembled and delivered the Pantries. Ron Amos with Minuteman Press donated and installed the signage. Jeri Hill provided the Rotary plates. Steve Langton with Ace Handyman, permanently installed the structures. Mayor Sprouse and Patsy Christie gave their blessing from the City to do this project. And then finally, our membership gave of their money in the form of dues to purchase and stock the pantries.

\n\"Our hope at Springdale Rotary is that those in our community needing assistance will use these pantries, and those in our community that are able to, will help stock them. This has been a blessing to our Club, and we look forward to continuing to serve our city, state, and beyond.\"<\/p>\n\n

Those in need are invited to take what they need. We invite the community to join us in supporting the health and nutrition of our community by contributing what they can to the pantries. All items should be nonperishable and packaged in non-glass durable packaging.<\/p>\n<\/p>
